Description
Southern Ties was constructed in 2022 and offers spectacular ocean views and very convenient walking access to the beach! The home has a bathroom for every bedroom, so you don’t have to share a sink with everyone in your party! The home is beautifully adorned with upscale furniture throughout. You will find everything you need for a dreamy beach vacation. The high ceilings, built-in furniture, crown molding, and modern lighting really set a clean, crisp and elegant vibe, that also is warm and comfortable. Allow yourself a taste of the Southern Ties on Dauphin Island!
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is NOT pet friendly.
10. Insurance policies do not allow the use of cargo lifts by guests.

Driveway will accomodate 4 vehicles. Beach Access right across from the house via Sam Houston St.

Second time here in this house. We always look for multiple king size beds to travel with friends. The only negative I have to say – The mattresses could use an update. They are inexpensive and scrunch when you move. The open floor plan is spacious. It’s been clean both times we’ve rented. It’s straight across the street from the beach access. The 6 Adirondack chairs on the front porch are great!

The house is large, clean and very nice. The kitchen ware was impressive for a rental. You do have to cross a somewhat busy road to access the beach but the traffic is moving slow so it was never an issue. The mattresses however were awful. I expected hard but plastic covered was new for me. If someone moved across the house everyone knew it. It wasn’t perfect but overall we enjoyed the home and had a great time in it.

We can’t say enough great things about our stay. The place was perfect and the pictures didn’t do it justice! prime location with littles with the beach being just across the road. Loved sitting on the porch and drinking coffee in the mornings while looking at the beach!

Beautiful house. Would rent it again. Didn’t have access to elevator and couldn’t find a key to unlock the controls but I didn’t call and ask about it either. Was unclear if we were allowed to use it. Should update documents to make it clear if its available for use and if so how to gain access to the controls.

There is a water spigot on the front porch if you would like a quick way to rinse your feet before entering the house. Southern Ties also offers an outdoor shower located under the house for a more thorough rinse.

Great location just across from the Gulf of America with great views. We spent plenty of time on the beach on the west end, avoiding the one directly across the street but for families looking for really close beach access this is the place. The deck is covered and huge and we spent afternoons there relaxing and enjoying gulf breezes. Plenty of space inside and it looked just like the pictures. Highly recommend.

This house was perfect for our two families. Each family had our own side of the house for sleeping/getting ready/etc. and were able to utilize the common living and kitchen space in the middle for socializing! The house was very clean, spacious, and had easy beach access right across the street. Would book again!

The house was amazingly configured, four square build made everyone feel they had a private area with bed/bath at each corner, and yet ample open common space to spend time together relaxing, playing games, and eating meals. The back deck has a very nice dining table set that is not in the pictures. It was noted in the communications that there was a Kuerig style coffee maker, so we brought kcups, but there was also a regular drip style coffee maker as well. There was an issue with the remotes to the light/fan in a few of the rooms, either missing or without batteries, we managed, but hopefully they will be replaced. The beach is located directly across the road and very accessible. The east, middle, and west end beaches are just a short drive away, as is anything else on the island including restaurants, shops, ferry, excursions, landmarks, and churches. The property was very nice! The home was even more open and nice than the pictures showed. We were happy with the amenities provided. Everything was seamless in getting access codes and finding items, so we had no need to contact the hosts during our stay. This was an amazing home (new Oct. 22) that provided everything our 3 families could have asked for. The layout was perfect with 4 bedrooms (one in each corner of the home) to allow privacy for each family. It was beautifully decorated, and had a perfect view of the ocean and bay from the decks/porch. The short walk across the street to the public beach access was a breeze. The island is very laid back and peaceful. This wasn’t walking distance to any attractions, but we knew that. Minimal traffic all week allowed us to get to restaurants, public beaches, excursions within minutes. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a beautiful beach home in a low key laid back island town.

We loved Southern Ties! We had a family of 8 and had plenty of space for all of us. We especially loved having our own rooms and bathrooms! It was a very short walk to the beach and loved the private beach setting. We also loved having the shower in the carport to get the sand off us when we came back from the beach. They also have board games to there to play in the evening. It was just an all around great week and family vacation!

Above our Expectations!
Our family of 10 enjoyed staying at this lovely beach rental. We were unable to get in with the code, however, the helpful coordinator “Cat” came by promptly and assisted us– the housekeeper was about hour late finishing the cleaning but we enjoyed sitting on front porch until ready.
It had all luxuries needed plus excellent access to the beach/gulf side. The living/kitchen area was larger than we expected and was very nice for the whole family to gather when needed. In addition, the bedrooms were private. Bathrooms were nice two with showers and two with tub/shower. Back porch area neat and had bay view. The front porch is where we enjoyed sitting listening to ocean, seeing sun rise and set. . . Only negative was steps, lots of up and down only access but that went with the territory!

Great Stay
We absolutely loved our stay here.
Very accommodating and tastfully decorated.
VERY spacious, convenient, and perfectly located. Great view with beach access directly across street from the drive. Waves crashing 24/7 are so relaxing, great for sleeping.
Haven’t relaxed this much in a long time. Toured the fort, great seafood market at Skinner’s and several souvenir shops.
Perfect place to relax, will definitely be back.

Weekend Getaway
My husband and I stayed here with his brother and sister-in-law for a weekend. We have stayed at other lovely homes on Dauphin Island, but this one exceeded our expectations. The home is amazing and the two master suites are on opposite sides of the house which is perfect for a multi family vacation. The main living area is spacious and bright. We enjoyed coffee on the large front porch each morning. Beach access was right across the street which was no problem at all. We spent hours exploring the fort on the island and we hope to take the ferry to the mainland on our next visit. The sunsets and sunrises on the island were breathtaking!
