Description
West End Girl is the very last Bay Side house on the western end of Dauphin Island. Enjoy the superior access to everything the west end has to offer. You will have a bay beach, a close walk to the gulf beach, and directly west of you is West End Park where you can explore 10 miles of the uninhabited barrier island at your leisure (park entrance fee applies). There is no better view of our famous sunsets.
West End Girl is a gorgeous beach house with oversized bedrooms that make it feel like you have room to relax and press pause on day-to-day busy-ness. Enjoy modern touches with classic styles throughout. The kitchen and living room are larger than what you see in most beach houses. Every bedroom has its own bathroom!
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is NOT pet-friendly.
Parking Instructions
The property has a driveway and parking for several cars. All overflow must be parked at Green Park next to Ship & Shore. Gulf side beach access via streets and courts only – you can park on these streets with a parking pass (we can provide). Do not walk between houses. The closest free access point is Westward Ho to your east. It is 400 ft from the end of the driveway to that destination.

Awesome in every way
This is a great house, and a great rental company. We specifically wanted to rent from a place located on the Island, and are glad we chose DIBR. They are very responsive and super nice people! I was a bit worried about noise, since the house is next to the West End parking lot, but it was not an issue at all. We loved watching the birds from the back porch every morning, and the beautiful sunsets every evening.

My wife and I along with our 4 kids, my brother and his wife and their 3 kids stayed for a week. Had a great time! We fished nearly every day from the beach or the bay.
Only thing we wished there were more common kitchen things, salt, pepper, foil, ect. Other than that the house is great!

Such a great place to stay. Felt like a home away from home. Beaches are right there. You’ll be at the end of the island, which is perfect. Within a few minutes drive of plenty to do on the island, yet private enough for a peaceful stay.

I can not say enough about the location of this home. It’s literal perfection. You have a clear view and path to bay and ocean side. It really is at the end of civilization. The public beach is ideal and literally a 1 min walk over your dune from your driveway. You have your own entrance in the fence row. This house is perfect for large groups. All rooms have their own bathroom and shower. Decks on both sides. Plenty space for privacy. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Perfect 10 plus. We absolutely loved this house with the location, space, porches and furnishings with the ease of accommodating our family of 6 adults and 3 pre-teen (teen) grandchildren. The evening sunset from the back porch was a nightly event with morning coffee on the back and front porch. It was a vacation we really didn’t want to end and plan on another year at the West End Girl if God willing. Thank you from the Davis Family.

We have a question regarding the insurance. What exactly does the travel insurance cover? Does it cover cancellation if a member of our party were to get sick?

The beach directly across from you is private, but you do have a vacant lot across the street and to the left that is used freely. You are also adjacent to the West End Beach which is a public beach.

Amazing House
We reserved West End Girl for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised for how well kept the house was considering all the sand and surf that surrounds it. It was clean, very roomy and comfortable for 6 of us….we didn’t even use the bunk room lol. The decor was perfect and everyone was in awe of the house and how it perfectly setup.
It was nice to be able to walk right from the deck to what felt like your private beach area on the Bay Side.
There was only one hiccup and it was taken care of immediately in a professional manner, the key code did not work but was reset within 5 minutes so we could access the house. We have already talked about returning to West End Girl and be in our own private little home away from home.
