Description
Surf’s Up is a Beach House designed for comfort! It is rare that there is a bathroom for every bedroom and the outdoor living spaces are fantastic! Enjoy an upper and lower deck that both get the ocean breeze right on top of the beach! The house is well furnished and enjoys big spaces throughout. Spread out and hang out in the large open floor plan and multiple gathering spots for chatting and enjoying the scenes outdoors. The home also enjoys a modern beach aesthetic for you to unwind in!
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, containing additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday and Friday nights.
9. This home is NOT pet-friendly.
10. Cargo lifts are not available to guests and can not be used. They are not permitted by Home Owner Insurance Policies.
Parking Instructions
Driveway will accommodate 4 cars. Overfloor parking at Green Park next to Ship ‘n Shore.

Great place on the island. Stepped right off the deck into the sand and onto the beach from the house. Seen dolphins every morning off the deck. Comfortable beds and nice place to feel at home. A few minor repairs needed to be done, but nothing that could not wait upon our departure. They did offer to come and fix minor repairs immediately though. Quick response when we had any questions. Would definitely stay there again. There were 5 adults, 2 children age 4 & 5years old and an infant. Plenty of space in the house. Lots of fun, relaxation and memories were made there. Deck was large and amazing.

Excellent in every way. Been going to dauphin island for 20 years renting condos for a little less. Finally spent a little more and I’m 100’ from the beach! 82 and 83 year old mom and aunt could walk to surf or sit on porch and watch, listen to the ocean..

Absolutely beautiful home! We were so excited from the moment we arrived. The home was spacious and clean. It was right on the water and had a beautiful deck downstairs. We loved the back deck—perfect for sipping coffee and listening to the waves or playing cornhole. Even when walking along the beach you could tell it was one of the nicer homes. We will definitely be booking again!

I would have given our rental a “great” review except that the main refrigerator did not work properly and we were not told that ahead of time, so we almost lost $400 worth of refrigerated items. There was a second fridge there—we just thought it was a bonus fridge. Our dryer did not work, either, but they did send someone to look at both appliances, but nothing could be fixed. We asked for a partial refund and they did come through on that. Other than that, great house, great beach, great vacation!

Regarding the refrigerator, there was a lapse in communication on our part. The secondary refrigerator was placed at the home intentionally to ensure guests had full refrigeration while the main unit was awaiting service, but we should have made that clear prior to your arrival. We take responsibility for that oversight and appreciate your understanding.
Both appliances have since been addressed, and we’re glad you were still able to enjoy the home, beach, and overall vacation. We value your feedback and would be happy to host you again for a smoother stay.

The water in front of Surf’s Up is lovely this time of year. It has a gentle slope that is easy to access.

I along with my family really enjoyed the stay at Dauphin Island’s Surfs Up property.. Had some minor issues to me but the women mentioned some dust & dirt here & there. I was like we on beach with high winds. It’s bound to be some dust & sand somewhere.. No broom was around to sweep the sand we had brought in the property. Toilet didn’t work ìn one of the bathrooms.. No tools were around, but I was able to fix the toilet. The water supply line had been disconnected and the person couldn’t reconnect it. water line didn’t align with the toilet. Bedding needs to be replaced. In at least one of the bedrooms comforter looked oldish and un appealing. However despite these couple of negative comments, everything else was great. Outdoor grilling experience was awesome, newer well kept gas grill. Everything for the kitchen, all there. Furniture comfortable for lounging around on and in good condition. Outside furniture in good shape. Couldn’t ask for a better sunrise in the AM

Wonderful sunsets
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Surf’s up. We got lucky and had wonderful weather the first full week in November. The sun sets far enough south to enjoy beautiful sunsets! Each bedroom having it’s own bathroom makes for a stress free stay. Highly recommend this house and Dauphin Island!

Perfect Beach House
Our week-long spring break stay at Surf’s Up was wonderful. The house is spacious and beautiful and the location can’t be beat. The beds were comfortable, the couch fit our entire crew, and the well-stocked kitchen made it easy to make every meal throughout the week. We can’t wait to go again next year!

Are there beach chairs available at the house for when you are down on the beach?

Beach chairs are not provided, although they are occasionally donated by guests. We leave them as long as they appear to be in good condition.

Hi there. I’ve been looking into Dauphin Island. We usually go to Gulf shores. I read some reviews on other houses on the island that you can feel the house rock from the ocean. Does this house do that?

This house is typically not in the water, so you will not feel the waves. During very high winds, you will feel any beach house move, which is normal.
