Description
Strand Castle is a Gulf-front house with an ideal beach house layout- 4 bedrooms, a Game Room overlooking the Gulf in the 4th bedroom, a small and roof-top Crow’s Nest. It’s easy to see why this beach house is one of Dauphin Island’s most popular vacation rentals.
This elevated, two-story home has a Master Suite on the first level with a private full bath. There is also a half-bath off the kitchen. The Great Room is large, open, and has a flat-screen TV over the fireplace. The Second Level has three bedrooms, two of which share a Jack and Jill half bathroom with a shower. There is a third full bathroom on this level and a Game Room (great for night time or rainy days). The game room is also the 4th bedroom and has a bunk bed and a sleep sofa. The rooftop has a Crow’s Nest, which provides panoramic views of the Island.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25 and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is NOT pet friendly.
Parking Instructions
The property has a driveway that can fit 2 cars. Free overflow parking is available at Green Park next to Ship N Shore.

Loved the location! We had ages from 10 month to 78 years. We loved being directly on the beach. Made it easy for nap time. The house had everything we needed. We had an amazing extended family vacation.

This is the perfect place for a true beach vacation. No need to pack up (or get everyone to agree!) to go to the beach because it’s literally under the house. Super fun house for a family with a great game room, bunk beds, and great TVs in every room. Fun location and a super hospitable island even in the off-season. The rooftop deck was really cool and looked like one of the only bed in the area. Our only complaint was that the pool was not cleaned for winter use, but the host was super gracious, responded immediately, and gave us a credit. We would come back—great house and location.

The place and location were absolutely beautiful. Loved being right on the beach with nothing blocking the view. The kids could play right there in the sand, the water was beautiful and clear. The beach was so clean!!! Had a few issues, but they made it right. Would LOVE to go stay there again!!! ❤️

Very nice location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very close to the beach, beautiful views of the water. We even saw dolphins swimming from the top of the house. Pool wasn’t working during our stay, but host was responsive and sent people out to attempt to fix it. After not being able to, they offered a small refund for the trouble.

The place is nice, but there are some things that just haven’t been taken care of. Some of the mattresses are less than comfortable. The stopper in the tub upstairs was gone so that left us with only one tub for the kids, that was doable, but inconvenient. The pool on the deck wasn’t the cleanest, it is old and needs some work. The kitchen could use a few more essentials, but overall we had a great week. The ability to just walk downstairs and be on the beach was wonderful!! Check in was great, kitchen 6/10, wi-fi was great!!!

This is such a wonderful property!! We loved having the game room for breaks from the beach and the eagles nest for a fantastic 360 view. It was a bit difficult with back to back showering only because the tubs fill up and take a bit to drain. Also, this property is advertised as having a “heated” pool, which is not the case. The pool was filled and chlorinated, but all the controls for heating it were removed and was heated only by the sun during the day. Not a deal breaker for us, but it could be a disappointment if you’re booking it during the cooler season. One caution to consider if you are staying with small children is there are four broken posts along with a large chunk of a concrete protruding out of the sand hidden by the water. One post and the concrete are visible during low tide. We used driftwood to mark the location of these up on the beach for added safety. This home has new mattresses which were very comfortable, as well as an abundance of pillows, towels and toilet paper. There was an extra large storage crate with plenty of toys and five beach chairs. We loved this property!!

This was our best beach trip ever. The house and pool is great but being able to just walk down the steps to the beach would have been enough. Would definitely recommend this house.

Strand Castle is a gulf front home. It sits directly in front of the water. There is a propane grill at the property for our guests to enjoy. The porch that overlooks the gulf is partially covered by the small deck above. It is not a true covered deck.

We are two families with a total of 11 people, with kids ranging from 9-22. We have gone to Dauphin Island every year since 2017. We LOVED this house.
We loved that the kids can walk down the steps and be on the beach. Our kids also loved the pool and the rooftop deck.
The host was super communicative and organized. Very easy to deal with. House has lots of space and is very comfortable. We had a big birthday dinner with other friends joining us. Kitchen was great. Plenty of room for everyone.

This home had everything that we needed. The location was perfect and exactly what we were hoping for. The views were beautiful and the oceanfront allowed us to enjoy the water and sand whenever we wanted. It was peaceful and relaxing! Would definitely visit again.

Great location. The heated pool wasn’t working we called on a Sunday and the property managers were very responsive and got it working. We then had a leaky pipe and they were out… again same day and fixed it quickly. The home itself is beautiful. Bed was comfortable. Falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves. We are very pleased with our stay and the heated private pool was amazing for the kids!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Strand Castle. All the kids had their own spaces, we had pool tournaments every night, and waking up to the view of the beach was priceless. This was our first time at Dauphin Island and Strand Castle helped make it a great trip. The kids loved being able to get into the pool and hang out on the beach that was “right there.” The house was incredible. The views from the crows nest were unmatched!

The views from the living room are priceless! Great location and private pool was awesome. The house had everything we needed from beach chairs to coffee liners. One of the best vacations we’ve had so far! The house is absolutely beautiful and rooftop views are incredible! We will return next year! The property has a driveway throughout most of the year. It is subject to being washed out when storms occur. In the event that there is not one, parking is still very close on Strand Ct while we are waiting on a new one to be installed. This is typical of gulf front homes. Thank you! DIBR
