Description
Welcome to SeaBatical. This gulf side beach house will welcome you with an open airy floor plan and coastal décor. The covered porch will keep you cool while winding down after a sun filled day at the beach. The property has views of the gulf and the bay. The well-appointed kitchen will have everything you need for preparing your meals. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a tiled backsplash. There is also a second refrigerator to accommodate your grand cooking plans on your beach vacation! The spacious dining area will be more than enough space for family and friends.
Wake up refreshed in the coastal owner suite located on the gulf side of the property. The double french doors will lead you to a large covered porch to enjoy your morning coffee.
Property is only a short walk to the gulf front and conviently located to the bike trail, shopping and restaurants.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is NOT pet-friendly.

We had a wonderful time. The distance to the beach is only a few minutes easy walk to the beach. From the balcony you can see the ocean. The house is beautiful and spacious, there was plenty do towels! That’s always been an issue at other places and there was so many our family of 8 didn’t use them all 😅. This is the best gulf coast beach stay we have ever had!

Everything went so smoothly and when it didn’t they were just a phone call away and ready to help.
Only problem we had was when we arrived the lock code didn’t work but they answered immediately and gave us the backup code for the physical keys and then sent someone out the next day to make sure we had both options for a lock.
The hospitality was very appreciative and I know I didn’t have to worry about anything for the rest of my vacation because we were in good hands.

Kitchen is stocked with small appliances (air fryer, crock pot, coffee pot, blender and more). The rental comes with some dish soap, laundry pods, hotel soaps & plenty of towels, which was nice for our 8 people that were staying. Very close to beach, but if you want to send kids to the beach by themselves you cannot see them from the house. Dauphin Island is perfect for people that don’t like tourists traps, nice easy going island, not a ton of restaurant options open in the winter, but we like to cook, so that was no problem. Master suite is very spacious, the queen bedroom is a little tight but has a comfortable bed and nice furniture for storage. Bunk room does not have a TV, we brought our own.

“Seabatical” definitely lives up to its name! It was much more spacious in person than in pictures and met all of our expectations including all the amenities one could need. With just a couple minutes walk to the beach and a breathtaking view of the ocean from the front porch, this beautiful beach house provided the perfect getaway for our family!

We were excited to stay at SeaBatical rental and it did not disappoint! We had a great view and spent any time not in the water/beach on the deck. Enjoying coffee in the am was so peaceful. The kitchen is fabulous; having two refrigerators was a huge bonus! The kitchen was fully equipped for all our needs! The huge bathtub in the master was much loved by our grandsons so nightly baths were a must for them. The sectional was the most comfortable couch ever! It was perfect for our family and vacation needs. There were lots of beach toys for the kids to use at the beach. Having the outdoor shower on good side deck and a hose on the bayside was a wonderful bonus to keep sand at bay. We highly recommend and look forward to staying again! Thank you for everything and for all the suggestions locally. We created so many happy memories here.

The place had a good view of the ocean and bay side. Very peaceful place with limited traffic. Many of the adjacent houses were unoccupied. There is little to do on the island and limited places to eat. If you’re looking for a slow, peaceful pace this is the perfect place!

We went for Mother’s Day weekend & there was a baby bed for our 1 year old granddaughter, Disney tv for our 4 year old granddaughter & it was clean , had everything we needed , walk in shower , nice large bathroom & bathtub in the master . Loved sitting on the porch every morning listening to the ocean . Hosts were responsive & solved any issues quickly. We throughly enjoyed staying in such a beautiful location. Home was just as pictured, very lovely place to stay .

This place was perfect for a peaceful week just steps away from the beach. The kitchen has all the appliances. You will need to cook a great meal. Living room area has a fantastic sofa with a nice view to the porch and ocean. The breeze coming through the house was very nice. All bedrooms had very comfortable beds with nice televisions in each room but the kids bunk room. Had laundry detergent available for doing your laundry. One outside door where the keypad is was a little hard to work at time and the water dispenser on the refrigerator was not working so bring some water with you but other than that it was an amazing stay. Great house! Even better than the photos. The kitchen is amazing and is well-stocked, which made cooking enjoyable. Lovely decor and colors.
The location is quiet and just steps from the beach. Gulf and bay views. An intense storm came through the first night but flooding was not a problem and the house felt very secure.
We had an issue with the door lock when we arrived and the management company helped troubleshoot over the phone so we could get in. A maintenance person was on site within 5 minutes to make sure we wouldn’t have any further issues. Thank you!
We would definitely rent again. We also recommend Dinner’s Ready and Lighthouse Bakery, which provided our Thanksgiving meal.

Hi, it is a traditional drip coffee maker. You would need to bring lighter fluid and a lighter or pick some up at Ship N’ Shore once on the island. Thank you! DIBR

Are there any beach chairs or wagons that come with the house?

Beach chairs are not provided. Guests do occasionally donate beach chairs and we leave them as long as they appear to be in good condition.

You can walk down St. Andrews Ct to access the beach. Golf carts are also available for rent.
