Set on a highly desirable through lot with only one row of homes on the Gulf side, this property offers a more private stretch of beach and an uninterrupted view of the shoreline. Whether you are surf fishing, watching dolphins roll by, or relaxing on the wide deck, this home delivers the laid-back island experience guests return for year after year.
Step inside to an open living area filled with natural light and coastal character. Built-in wooden shelving frames the entertainment center, creating a warm and inviting space to unwind after beach time. Shades of soft blue and sandy neutrals tie the room together, and tiled flooring throughout keeps the home cool and easy to maintain.
The kitchen is designed for convenience with light wood cabinetry, granite countertops, and modern appliances. Plenty of counter space, a floating island, and a fully outfitted cookware set give you everything needed to prepare meals for your group. The dining table seats six with ocean views, making shared meals feel relaxed and effortless.

The expansive Gulf-front deck is the true highlight of Off the Hook. Multiple access points from the home make it easy to step outside to enjoy the breeze, sip morning coffee, or watch the sky change at sunset. Comfortable seating gives everyone a place to gather.
A private staircase leads directly from the deck to the sand below, allowing instant beach access without crossing roads or walking long distances. This is beach living made as simple as it gets.

Off the Hook sits in one of Dauphin Island’s most sought-after locations, giving you more privacy, fewer crowds, and a true toes-in-the-sand experience right outside your door.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

• Minimum age for primary renter is 25 and must be present the entire stay
• Maximum occupancy: 9 guests

This is our second time staying at Off the Hook. In our opinion, this is one of the best locations on the Gulf side. It is far enough away from any of the public beach access points, making it one of the more secluded beach areas. We had such a great time this trip that we ended up extending our stay. We stayed in this beachfront house for 3 nights and 2 days, and it was absolutely the best experience. Being right on the beach was incredible, and the house itself had plenty of space with great-sized rooms and bathrooms. The price was also amazing for what you get. We loved the patio furniture and box full of toys which we used 1 of the buckets to gather shells. We truly loved our stay, had a great time, and honestly wish we could have stayed longer.Check in and checkout was easy and that I LOVE. The only minor note is that some of the living room furniture felt a bit worn—our group mentioned the couches seemed like they might be nearing the end of their lifespan. Other than that, we have zero complaints.Overall, we loved it and would definitely stay again!

We had no issues while we stayed. The house was much more than we needed and would accommodate a large family. Plenty of space and great location. My only recommendation would be more flatware for larger groups.

Great spot the house was set up perfect for couples and it was clean . The only suggestions I have were s the outside deck needed a little love and a TV in the other master would have been nice and you really need some mixing bowls . We had a great time staying in the house

Off the Hook was AMAZING!
This was our first time on Dauphin Island but it will not be our last. We were greeted with no traffic, beautiful beaches and no crowds. Off the Hook house is fantastic! It was very clean (absolutely no sand on the floors!) The back deck is great with plenty of chairs for lounging. Large kitchen table with 8 chairs plus 3 bar stools. Kitchen was well equipped (minus a colander/strainer). Overall, I give Off the Hook 5 stars because we really had no complaints. I also give Dauphin Island Beach Rentals 5 stars because they were excellent. Our first night, we noticed the outside bulbs were blown on the back deck. I texted the number that had been texting me with updates and they immediately texted back (usually you have to call but they actually text you back!) They had a maintenance person there within 2 hours to replace the bulbs. Any questions I had before and during our stay, they immediately responded. We were very impressed with their customer service.

Perfect location with easy beach access. Great floor plan with fully stocked kitchen, nice large shower with plenty of hot water and plenty of big fluffy towels. Also loved the doggie door and gate across the deck to keep our pups and granddaughter safe. But it’s important to read reviews and ask questions before booking.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway to Dauphin Island. Our first time there and we loved it. House was directly on the beach. Amazing for the kids! They played on the beach from sunrise to well after dark. House was nice – great kitchen and back porch. Wonderful stay. Plan on coming back soon.

I loved the location of the house. The area is not as congested with houses as some of the other areas where there are rentals. I also liked the set up of the house with the 2 rooms and a bathroom on each side of the house. Nice for groups that do not keep same sleep schedule, which is my normal when traveling with my teens. The house was clean. The host was very responsive and helpful when I had questions.

Great communication from DIBR on storm with high waves on Christmas Eve and had a person to call with questions. Great service. Love the artwork by Gina throughout the house. Loved the beach and access. Good sized gulf side deck with a dog gate. Bleach clean bathrooms. The heat worked well when the overnight temperatures dipped to mid 40’s which was appreciated because we could not find any blankets for the beds and we did not pack blankets. Loved the variety of nice cookware as we loaded up at Skinner’s with shrimp, fish, and plenty of seafood to cook through the Christmas holiday. Don’t forget the cinnamon rolls from the Lighthouse Bakery. If you plan your meals, this is the best relaxing family vacation away to really connect with nature and enjoy the spectacular small specialty businesses on Dauphin Island. I love this place. This is a great place to rent I really enjoyed my stay overall everything was perfect , the house is spacious and clean and the view was outstanding including the dolphin show we got every day with a dolphin pack passing by multiple times a day , we all loved our stay here .

Are their chairs for the beach there or should we bring our own- we’ve always stayed at beach club condos- this will be our first time at a beach house. So I’m not sure what to expect

Beach chairs are not provided, although, they are often donated by guests. We leave them as long as they appear to be in good condition.

We really enjoyed our stay at Off the Hook. The house was clean, the deck was amazing, and the beaches were beautiful and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary cookware and serve ware. The living area was very comfortable and has a big TV, good for those rainy day movies. DIBR communicated very well throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend this location.
