Welcome to La Place, a spacious coastal retreat designed for comfort, connection, and relaxed island living. With water views from nearly every window, a large screened porch, and easy access to both the Gulf and the Sound, this four bedroom, four bathroom home is perfectly set up for family vacations and group getaways on Dauphin Island.

Step inside to an open and inviting main living space where the kitchen, dining area, and living room flow together naturally. Large windows fill the home with natural light and showcase peaceful island and water views from nearly every angle. Comfortable seating creates an easy place to gather after a day at the beach, whether for movie nights, conversation, or simply unwinding together.

The kitchen is thoughtfully designed for both everyday use and group meals, featuring stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and a large island with seating that invites casual dining and connection. The nearby dining area offers a comfortable setting for shared meals and celebrations.

A bright sunroom provides an additional space to relax, read, or enjoy the views in a quiet setting.

Sleeping Arrangements (Sleeps 10):
• NW Queen Suite – Queen bed, beach views, TV, private bathroom with alcove tub, and separate shower stall
• SW Queen Bedroom – Queen bed, located next to the common bathroom
• SE Queen Suite – Queen bed, TV, private bathroom with shower tub combo
• Second Floor Suite – King bed, two twin XL beds, and a day bed, private bathroom with shower stall, and private balcony overlooking the Sound

La Place offers multiple outdoor spaces designed for both relaxation and gathering. The large screened porch is perfect for enjoying the island breeze without direct sun, while the upper deck and private balcony create ideal spots for sunrise coffee, sunset views, and clear night sky stargazing.

Under the home, a spacious covered patio creates a true outdoor living area. Guests can enjoy a picnic table, a built in large dining table with seating, and plenty of room to relax after grilling or spending the day at the beach. An outdoor shower with a private dressing room makes it easy to rinse off and transition back inside.

For beach days, guests can walk about 1/4 mile, roughly a 10 minute walk, to Gulf access points at Sam Houston or Sehoy for classic white sand and surf. Just steps away, the Mississippi Sound side beach offers a calmer, more protected environment with a gentle slope, no rip currents, and fewer marine hazards, making it especially appealing for families and younger swimmers.

A beach buggy and chairs are provided to make trips to the beach easier, and cornhole adds a fun option for outdoor time at the house.

During your stay, explore Fort Gaines, the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, and the Alabama Aquarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Local restaurants, small shops, and bike friendly roads make it easy to enjoy the relaxed pace of island life.

As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is NOT pet friendly.

Parking Instructions

La Place offers on site parking at the property, making it easy for guests to unload, settle in, and enjoy their stay without worrying about finding a spot.

Walking Access to the Gulf Beaches
Guests who enjoy a short stroll can reach the Gulf side beaches by walking about 0.5 mile to Sam Houston St, where public beach access leads directly to Dauphin Island’s wide sandy shoreline. It is a great option for guests who want to take a relaxed walk to the beach and enjoy the island scenery along the way.

Driving to Public Beach Access
Guests may also choose to drive to one of the four public beach areas on Dauphin Island. These locations offer convenient parking and easy access to the Gulf.

Public beach parking requires a daily fee, but once you pay at one location, the pass is valid at all four public beach parking areas for the rest of the day. This allows you to explore different parts of the shoreline, find the perfect beach spot, or move to a new location for sunset without paying again.
