Description
Island Time IV is a very popular gulf-front beach house, where you can enjoy unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico! It includes 2 master suites, both of which overlook the beach, where you can settle into the sound of waves and wake up seeing blue sky and a gulffront view. The open plan also includes a spacious living room, dining room and kitchen that also take in great light and the beach views. High ceiling and crown molding trim out the home in an upscale finish to go along with stone countertops and great décor.
The private pool also sits on the gulf side of the home, maximizing sun exposure and giving you that same gulf view that you are coming for. You can sit by the pool and look out on your family sitting on our white sandy beaches. If you do need a break from the sun, there is also a covered part of the back deck to take in the salt air in the shade.
There is a second-floor game room that also includes its own walk-out deck. So many places to hang out, it is great for large groups or families with kids.
This home is pet-friendly. The pool is heated from October 1 through March 31 at no additional charge.
Pool Heating Note: Pool temperature can vary during cooler months, as the system relies on outdoor air temperatures. In colder conditions (around 50°F), heating may be less effective or temporarily unavailable (45°F and below), and it can take up to 24 hours to reach the desired temperature when weather allows.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly, dogs only, 2-Pet Maximum Limit – $100 pet fee per pet plus tax applies.

Overall, our stay was great! We had adults, teenagers, toddlers and dogs, everyone had a place in the house. The pool and deck were fantastic for anyone who didn’t want the beach. The location was perfect with a walk out the door and down the steps straight to the beach, not having to cross any roads. Beach was very peaceful and not crowded, which was a plus!

This home was amazing right on the beach, so beautiful! It was very spacious and had everything you would need. The pool was perfect temperature and clean. There’s not a lot of action, which was exactly what we were looking for. Felt like we had the beach to ourselves! Our two dogs felt at home and could be outside on the enclosed deck no worries even though there wasn’t an actual fenced yard. There are some restaurants down the road, The Islander was our favorite! A couple of cons: could use a deep cleaning, the rugs in the bedrooms were nasty and need to be removed , some trash outdoors needs picked up, minor repairs (kitchen chair and drawer, coffee pot) pool decking needs attention there are some hazardous areas where it’s warping. The extra blankets were balled up in the closet like they hadn’t been washed and utility closets were filled with junk. For the high price I was expecting near perfection but it was all minor and the location well made up for it!! Didn’t want to leave!!

Wonderful Beach Stay!
Our extended family spent the week at Island Time IV. The house was great for us. Being right on the beach was perfect and the pool was great when we wanted a quick dip. The staff was so responsive to questions as we planned and throughout our stay. We will definitely look to stay here again!

A beautiful view from every window. The house had everything we needed for a quick weekend stay. Having the pool is great even with the gulf waters just 100 yards away. House had plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms to accommodate our large family. Large back deck was great for cooking while enjoying the sea breeze and watching the kids swim.
Heated pool was not heated, but weather was warm enough to not bother the host. Pool was clean and water was clear.
Having stayed at many beach houses, the salt air takes its toll on these homes and I would say this home is decently up kept. The wood dries up, so make sure your kids wear protection if frequenting on the decks. We had multiple splinter accidents so maybe bring some tweezers also. This advice is true for most beach homes.
We would stay again and recommend others to book.

Overall I would recommend this place as we’ve stayed in several different houses along the coast over the years. This house definitely goes along with the reviews as it needs some tlc. It is showing its usage of people coming and going. It needs holes patched in the walls, painted, doors and baseboards are dinged up and dirty. This house has the potential to be amazing if someone would give it a good cleaning and makeover. The only thing besides the wear and tear that was really an issue was the heated pool was not working. We went at spring break in which it was windy and chilly most days. The management responded quickly and someone came to look at the pool. I guess they couldn’t fix it bc it never warmed up. Our kids toughed it out and played in it the best they could. All in all it’s a perfect location and a good house that just needs some attention to details. Cleaning crew could have cleaned the fridge a little better as it reeked of fish from whoever was there before us. Management offered charcoal bags in which didn’t do much. But they tried in which we appreciated. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. Water pressure wasn’t very good though. I would rate it a 7/10.

This is a great spot and was just as described. A few minor things need repair, the code lock for the door didn’t work (but the managers were on standby to offer the lock code for a physical key to unlock it). There is a kitchen drawer that is broken, the fridge water/ice is a little glitchy and some dips/ soft spots in the floor. Enough of the negatives! The property is beautiful. Sandy shores, lovely pool, comfortable clean beds, spacious layout, extra amenities (plastic bags, etc. Highly recommend, especially for a large group. Plenty of room with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Great place, thank you so much for our lovely getaway!!

I highly recommend this spot! you might not think you’ll use a pool, literally on the beach, but you will, and you will love it!
the stairs get to be tiring, but hey, it’s a stilt house, what do you want?!😆 that was legit the only thing that could even be close to negative about this place.

This was our family’s first beach vacation that included all of us including the grandchildren. This beautiful home was everything we needed, the pool was an added bonus and was a hit with the smaller grandchildren. The kitchen was very well stocked – we prepared meals every day and only ate out once – there was plenty of cookware and accessories to prepare meals for all of us. The bedroom layout worked out well and the beds were all very comfortable. We all left saying we would definitely return. We didn’t get to enjoy the beach as often as we would’ve liked due to weather but the few days of good weather we did have the beach was fantastic!

We loved Dauphin Island and part of it was this beautiful and perfectly located home. We had a few small issues with a few broken features, but the property managers were extremely responsive with fixes and solutions. We’re highly complimentary on this point, as no place is perfect, but the host responses were perfect. Overall we had a great stay, and would absolutely stay again!

The ocean so close you can hear the waves from the deck and bedrooms if you keep the window open. It was a wonderful stay and I would rent this home again.

We will be staying here at the end of May. I see stair gates are on the list. Are these gates located at the bottom and top of the stairs? We have a toddler and we’re planning on bringing our own if needed. Also, does the pool gate latch?

The stair gates are on the back deck. There is a gate at the top of the beach stairs and gates between the main deck and the pool deck.

Spring Break saved by the heated pool
We just completed our spring break trip that was postponed from last year when everything shut down due to COVID. (They were very flexible to let us reschedule.) We had back luck with the weather most of the week, but the heated pool was amazing on the cool and cloudy days! It was almost like a hot tub and we spent most of our time there. The location on the beach was great – just step right off the deck and there you are! The house was roomy and served us well. Management was very responsive when contacted. I would definitely book again.

We recently stayed July 6 through 13th, had to leave a day early due to Tropical Storm Barry. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, location, and pool. We came for the first time in 2018 and stayed in Island Time III and we can’t wait to come back again in 2020!
