Description
Island Time II is a 4 bedroom beach house on Dauphin Island’s West End beach with its own private, heated pool (Oct – Apr). This Dauphin Island vacation rental is a second row home on the Gulf of Mexico beach and has incredible Gulf views from nearly every room.
The house is placed at an angle to provide optimum views of the Gulf; there is a house ahead on the left and the right, but the house’s placement provides a 60-foot wide direct view of the Gulf, only about a hundred feet away! Easily watch family and friends on the beach while relaxing on the shaded deck.
The property owners also upgraded several items during Winter 20/21, including the kitchen and bathroom counters, sinks, faucets, and deck rails. New owners and new improvements, enjoy!

For attractions, visit the Sea Lab, historic Fort Gaines, play a round of golf at the Isle Dauphine gulf-front course, view birds and wildlife & explore secluded beaches at the Audubon Sanctuary, fish on the beach, or at the long gulf-front fishing pier, charter a boat for sightseeing or deep-sea fishing, swim, bike, walk, collect shells, or relax.
Pool Heating Note: Pool temperature can vary during cooler months, as the system relies on outdoor air temperatures. In colder conditions (around 50°F), heating may be less effective or temporarily unavailable (45°F and below), and it can take up to 24 hours to reach the desired temperature when weather allows.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet friendly with prior permission. Only dogs that are approved by the insurance policy. 2-Pet Maximum Limit – $100 pet fee per pet plus tax applies.
Parking Instructions
The property has a driveway that can accommodate 4 cars. Free overflow parking at Green Park next to Ship N Shore. Can access the beach by walking down Raphael Semmes Ct.

Island Time II was a wonderful stay. The location of the house was amazing! We really enjoyed the pool for the 5 kids. There were a few minor little issues (slow flushing toilet and loose microwave door) but the issues were quickly reconciled and did not affect our stay. Would definitely come again! Thank you!

Excellent location. Great to have a small private pool. The vrbo host was great-there was no hairdryer at the house and it was listed as an item there so we contacted vrbo and they immediately got a hairdryer for us. Very great host Thank You VRBO!!

My sister, myself, her 3 grands and my disabled son were there for a 4 night stay. Comfortable house, pool, plenty of room, for everyone. The only thing, needs hand rails addressed, has splinters and unable to grasp hand rail. Could use new can opener….

Beautiful home close to the beach with beautiful views of the ocean. The kitchen and living area are nicely laid out. Overall the kitchen is well stocked. The living room furniture is comfortable. The beds are super comfy. Every room has a TV and a ceiling fan. 3 of the bedrooms open onto the deck. LOVED the pool on the deck!!!! Plenty of space and furniture on both decks. My only suggestion would be to update some cookware, and storage containers in the kitchen and update the sheets.
We have stayed at several beach houses on DI over the years, we would stay here again.

House is right on beach it looks nice inside although looks like one of the bedroom ceilings needs to have drywall finished. The outside decking was a little rough don’t go without shoes. Overall was a nice relaxing stay house was well equipped with about everything you need.

Great place! Loved the location and the view! The pool was great. Fit our family perfectly. They also quickly notified us when and item was left. The only thing that we feel needed to be addressed it the ceiling in the bunk room needs to be repaired which looks was in the process of being addressed. It didn’t hinder our stay though.

We loved this house- direct view of beach from LR and 3 BDRMs- sliding doors in each onto deck. Little pool was delightful- good safety gates on pool deck and main deck. Safe for children/pets. Beds were comfy and kitchen well stocked. Plenty of supplies for kitchen and laundry. Nice floaties for the pool. Plenty of parking. We liked the outdoor shower/ foot rinse at the bottom of the stairs. Even with very heavy rain, there was no problem with standing water. Steps from the beach.

We had a great time staying here. The house was very nice. Loved, the deck, pool, view & location. So nice to stay somewhere where dogs are allowed on the beach & everyone we came in contact with obeyed the leash rules & cleaned up after their pets, that’s usually hard to find! The location of the house is great, beautiful views from deck and pool and so close to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!!

We loved the home, the pool was a plus and kiddos enjoyed it. Beach was closer than what I expected. Beach was not congested like most places we have visited. Perfect location. Plan to make another trip soon to the same house.

It looks like it has been remodeled recently, so it looks really nice. Love that the living room and three of the bedrooms has its own sliding glass doors straight to the deck. The pool was great. Contacted for an issue and someone came out immediately to fix it. Service is definitely fast and friendly.

Can you verify the size of the pool please….pictures are deceiving but it
looks larger than 6×8 ft. I see that there are seats at both ends and steps on side? and is it lighted for night swim? is there a pool company that comes to clean or chlorinate? there may be an elderly person who will stay in pool rather than beach! Thanks from future renter!

Hello, we are scheduled to stay in Island Time 2 starting October 6th. I’ve read some things on fb that have me questioning beach etiquette. Since this house is 2 nd row, are we allowed to access the beach by walking between the houses to the water line. Someone had stated that water front houses have exclusive rights to beach in front of houses and second row houses should access the beach from the public west end beach. Can you set me strait?

Yes, for parts of the island beach where houses sit right at the water, the private property does cover most of the beach. For Raphael Semmes, the 1st-row houses are at the southern edge of their lots and the beach beyond them is available to all houses on the street. You can walk down Raphael Semmes to access the beach. It is a short walk and very convenient. We appreciate your consciousness and being polite to the neighbors goes a long way!
