Whether you’re playing volleyball on the beach, enjoying dinner on the covered porch, or watching the waves roll in from the living room, Island Sun is all about relaxing by the Gulf.

The bright and welcoming open concept layout makes it easy for everyone to gather while still enjoying views of the Gulf. The kitchen, dining area, and living room flow seamlessly together, creating a comfortable space for meals, conversation, and relaxing after a day on the beach.
The kitchen is fully equipped with light wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, a French door refrigerator, ample counter space, and island seating. A nearby coffee bar adds convenience for slow mornings overlooking the water.
The living room is filled with natural light from multiple windows and features vaulted ceilings, coastal-inspired décor, comfortable furnishings, and direct access to the covered Gulf-front porch. Soft blue and gray tones throughout the home create a relaxed island atmosphere.
A dedicated laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer provides added convenience during your stay.

Outdoor living is one of the highlights of Island Sun. The covered Gulf front porch offers a comfortable outdoor dining area, grilling space, and beautiful beach views, making it the perfect place for family meals, morning coffee, or evening conversations.
The Gulf-facing portion of the porch also includes a sitting area and shuffleboard, providing entertainment for guests of all ages while enjoying the coastal breeze.
Just beyond the home, the extended beachfront creates a spacious area for beach games, sunbathing, shell collecting, and enjoying the shoreline. The volleyball net adds another layer of fun for families and groups looking to spend time together outdoors.
With direct beach access and unobstructed Gulf views, the beach is always just steps away.
Nearby Attractions / Area Perks
During your stay, explore Fort Gaines, the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, and the Alabama Aquarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Local restaurants, bike paths, and marinas make it easy to enjoy the laid back pace of island life.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is NOT pet-friendly.

This is a lovely beach home with plenty of room. The beach chairs were a wonderful surprise and in pristine condition. Sand-free beach towels were provided and were that perfect extra touch. Other reviewers had complained about cleanliness, but we did not have that experience, the whole house was in great shape. My only suggestion is that it might be time to replace the queen mattress, though still relatively comfy, it is very loud when rolling over and climbing into bed, like it might be breaking down. We would def stay here, again.

My family spent five nights in this beautiful beach home. The house was super clean, had all the amenities of home and made us feel so welcome. We loved being so close to the water. I was able to run back to the house and still keep an eye on my family. We spent many hours on the porch and appreciated the outdoor table and gas grill. The living room was comfortable to spend time as a family and we all agree the beds were so nice and soft. We can’t say enough great things about this house! We will absolutely be back again next year!

This house is in a great location with an unobstructed view of the ocean. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep, and the house itself was well furnished without being cluttered. The semi-circular drive made parking a breeze too. The house was spotlessly clean, and both the AC and heat worked well. We had two small questions for the management company, and they were super responsive. We’ll be back!

Went between spring break and summer, so even though other houses nearby it was incredibly quiet. Home was very clean, as described, well stocked with basic necessities. Shopping is minimal on the island but we knew that before hand so brought most of what we needed.

Lots of good views from the master and living room. The porch was partially covered so you can enjoy time outside (but out of the sun), or enjoy a nice meal outside. The beach wasn’t crowded as there was private access from the house. Kids had a great time playing all the outside games!

We had a great time. It was great being on the beach with plenty of activities for the kids. The shuffleboard court and volleyball court were a lot of fun.
The house was clean and check in was a breeze. The manager communicated well and dropped by our first day to welcome us and answer any questions. Would happily rent again.
The only downside was that the internet connection was fairly slow. But it was serviceable.

My family enjoyed staying in this up to date beach house. The beach is very clean and the view is great. The home has a covered deck area that is furnished with a large table, six dining chairs, and two beach loungers – this area was nice for cooking out, enjoying sunsets, and the cool breeze of the ocean. The view was great. The home had more beach front than the home to the left and right of us – which made the home more private – beach walkers couldn’t see you when you were lounging under the covered deck area. The home is equipped with a shuffle board, board games, volley ball net, and playing cards. The home is close to restaurants and the public beach area. We would stay at this home again. We had a great time!

Easy walk to the shore, easy drive up to the house, seamless check-in. 30min to the nearest grocery so come prepared, but the seclusion is nice! Owners/managers were very helpful and responsive. Plenty of space on the beach and the outdoor porch + gas grill + table was a perfect set up for our beach-day lunches and dinners.

Island Sun is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay! We would definitely stay again! I would consider a few things like detailed cleanliness of the inside if that’s important to you and plan to bring shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. but all in all the view makes this home worth it! We used the grill every day and we’re grateful the propane tank was full for us! We spent most of our time on the beach or on the back deck enjoying the view!

It is a first row house. It is a deep lot and sits back further than the houses on either side, but still has an unobstructed view and walk to the water. The house has a circle drive that accommodates 4 vehicles.

Island Sun is water front and is private property. You may have some neighbors also enjoying the beach, but there is plenty of space. The land along the water is an easement for people to go up and down the beach. October is a great time of year to come. Dauphin Island is popular for Fall Break, but even then, it’s quieter than summer (which isn’t bad either since the island is essentially a beach house community).
