Escape to Chele’s Bayside Cottage, a delightful 2-story vacation home on Dauphin Island where your furry friends are welcome! This pet-friendly beach retreat is located on the sound side, giving you a private beach with a pier that is boat-friendly and great for fishing.
Chele’s Bayside Cottage features an open floor plan living space with a fully equipped modern kitchen and island seating, perfect for family gatherings. The dining room offers direct access to the covered back porch with waterfront views, while the tastefully decorated living room boasts a large flat-screen TV and access to the porch.
With four bedrooms spread throughout the house, including a king bedroom and two queen bedrooms on the first floor and a bunk room with two full-over-full bunk beds on the second floor, there’s plenty of space for everyone. The NE King Bedroom offers waterfront views and direct porch access, while the SE Queen bedroom shares a bathroom with it. The SW Queen bedroom provides quick access to the common bathroom, and the upstairs bunk room is ideal for kids with its dedicated TV area.
Outside, the covered back porch features overhead fans, lounge chairs, and dining space. The back deck also includes a grill for outdoor cooking. Enjoy the private beach and stunning views of the Mississippi Sound, and take advantage of access to a pier with a covered boat slip, and fish cleaning station.
Chele’s Bayside Cottage also includes a dedicated laundry room for convenience, swings and picnic tables under the pilings. Experience the best of island living at Chele’s Bayside Cottage!
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following house rules:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly with prior permission. Only dogs, must be approved by insurance policy— 2-Pet Maximum Limit – $100 pet fee per pet plus tax.

The cottage felt like a home, spacious and decorated with nice wood furniture.
It was a perfect place for a beach vacation since cottage was just a few feet from water front and had amazing water views.
Also, communication with the host was fast, and all our questions got answered very clearly.
I would highly recommend this location and this cottage for those who love beaches and value their privacy.

We loved our stay at this property! The location was wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed being on the bay side. The walk to the gulf side was less than 5 minutes, which was also convenient. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us.

Absolutely loved this place! The space inside this home is amazing, it was cold and windy outside a few days. Outdoor shower has hot water. Very short walk to the peaceful beach. Enjoyed the dock and back deck on the warmer days. The kitchen has anything you would need, even dishes, cups and utensils for the littles! We had no issues with anything during our stay. The only complaint, we had to leave and did NOT want to!!!

To wake up next to clear calm water was just amazing.
My kids loved the beach and private dock.

The house is so comfortable and well-decorated, and the sunsets from the dock were incredible. We enjoyed the porch and being able to use the kayaks out on the sound. The management was super responsive and wonderful. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Great time. Great place to stay. This was our 20th year going to Dauphin Island. The house was just what we look for in a place to stay. Loved the dock and beach area. It was especially nice having the grill on the deck instead of stuck underneath the house. Definitely recommend if you want a nice quiet vacation spot.

I live near the beach and this was, by far, one of my TOP FIVE beach stays (I’d actually say 2nd best to Key West) of all time! This house is perfect size. We had 8 people (6 adults and 2 kids) in the house all week (sleeping) with several other adults in and out over our stay and we had plenty of room for everyone! The beds were VERY comfortable (which is rare in a rental), the kitchen was stocked and roomy, there were plenty of towels, plenty of parking, loved the boat dock (we live within an hours drive so we brought our boat for the out of state family). The breezes were amazing, front and back. There are only 4 houses on this row, this is house #2 and our family was the only one’s there all week and we had the entire private beach area to ourselves the whole time. There are tv’s in every room, plenty of extra blankets/pillows and the house is pet friendly (so I didn’t have to board my 2 dogs). Its a very short walk across the street to the Gulf side, but honestly, we loved just beaching on the bay side. Plenty of places to wash sand off before entering the house. I tell you, it was ALL perfect. I’ve never stayed in a place that I would rent again but this one, 100% a future rental. DIBR (April) was so easy to work with. They were very helpful with reminder texts about trash, etc. Everything was sooooo easy and all of the guests there LOVED the house and location. We WILL be back!

Very nice property. Had a couple bumps at first but everything was taken care of immediately. Tons of towels and extra trash bags and toilet paper which was a surprise and much appreciated. Will return to Chele’s Baysid.

On the beach with its own dock……how much better could you get?? It is a beautiful home with beautiful decor in a great location. They provided lots of info about the island. The mast bath was amazing; we couldn’t keep our kid out of the shower. Lots of room, very spacious! Loved the idea of leaving a shell. My son decorated it with our last name and dates we were there. The washer and dryer and dish washer were AMAZING! Wanted to load them up and take them with me. The bonus outdoor shower was great when our son came back sandy. Will definitely return!!!

The house was beautiful, spacious and clean. For my aging parents, the stairs were easy to navigate. They enjoyed the covered back porch while we enjoyed the fishing off the dock. We had great fishing before Francine went through. The hurricane must have disrupted the fishing after that. Overall we had a wonderful time!

It was a great time. Everything in house worked as it should. It was clean and well stocked with appropriate equipment in kitchen. Back porch was a big plus. The dock was a nice addition, we fished nearly every single night off dock and caught several fish to include a shark. Just catch and Release for us. Good time!! Will be back to Dauphin Island. 👍

We appreciated that this rental was a much closer walk to the bay and pier than a previous rental we had stayed in a couple of years ago. The cottage was very clean and well kept!
