Welcome to Cast Away, a spacious Gulf view retreat designed for relaxing beach vacations and laid-back island living. Located near the end of Pushmataha Court, this elevated beach house offers beautiful Gulf views, a covered swim spa, and inviting indoor and outdoor spaces that make it easy to unwind and enjoy the slower pace of Dauphin Island.

The heart of Cast Away is its bright, open concept living area where soaring vaulted ceilings with exposed trusses create a spacious and welcoming atmosphere. Natural light fills the room, highlighting the comfortable furnishings, coastal décor, and warm wood tone flooring that help set the tone for a relaxing beach getaway.
The kitchen is both stylish and functional, featuring crisp white cabinetry, quartz countertops, a mosaic tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, and a driftwood accented island with bar seating. Whether you’re preparing fresh local seafood or gathering for breakfast before a day at the beach, the open layout keeps everyone connected.
The living room offers comfortable seating and a large TV, making it the perfect place to relax after a day in the sun. Just beyond, the covered deck extends the living space outdoors and provides beautiful views of the Gulf and surrounding island landscape.

The expansive covered deck offers a comfortable place to enjoy morning coffee, afternoon breezes, and evening conversations while taking in views toward the Gulf. Outdoor seating and open island views make it easy to spend time outside throughout your stay.
One of the standout amenities at Cast Away is the covered swim spa located beneath the home. Protected from the rain and direct sun, this unique space can be enjoyed in a variety of weather conditions, giving guests a comfortable place to relax, cool off, or unwind after a day at the beach. The covered setup also creates an additional shaded gathering area for families and friends throughout the day.
The Gulf beaches are just a short walk away, making it easy to spend your days swimming, shell hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the white sand shoreline that makes Dauphin Island so special.

During your stay, visit Fort Gaines, explore the trails of the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, or discover marine life at the Alabama Aquarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Local restaurants, marinas, and bike friendly roads make it easy to enjoy everything the island has to offer.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is NOT pet-friendly.

Parking for 4+ cars in driveway. Can walk to gulf Beach by crossing Bienville blvd and walking down Pushmataha (3-minute walk).

Booked at the last minute and can’t believe it wasn’t already taken. Might be the best place we’ve ever stayed. Beach time was hot and sunny, so coming back to the house after and relaxing in the shaded swim spa was the best. Never had issues with mosquitos even though we brought bug spray. The house is comfy and open. The decor and furnishings seem high end. The tv’s in the living room and primary room are massive. The kitchen didn’t want for anything. We played board games as a family and enjoyed not being on a schedule. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property! Spacious and comfortable. Easy access to the beach. Front porch fire pit and jacuzzi very nice. Only problems: doors were somewhat hard to lock and unlock, internet/tvs were sporadic (especially in master bedroom), grass needed cutting.

It is less than a quarter mile or a 3 minute walk to the beach from Cast Away. You will leave the driveway and walk across Bienville Blvd to Pushmataha. Once on Pushmataha, you will walk to the very end and the beach will be directly in front of you. Please do not cross through other properties when heading to the beach. At this point in time, there are 3 companies on the island that offer golf cart rentals; Island Time Cart Rentals, Island Fun Rentals, and Beach Shack. All 3 companies do an amazing job of serving their customers.

We had a fantastic stay at this rental.. The location was oerfect and directly across the street from the beach which led to great views while enjoying a morning coffee… We had all the amenities needed for relaxcing week.. The Property manager April was exceptional and very responsive to all of our questions and initial needs…be prepared for meals during the off seasons because there are times when the restaurants you may want to go to may be closed. I would recommend this and would like to return

This place was spacious and beautifully decorated. The have a fully stocked kitchen with lots of seating. All of the beds were very comfortable. We had an awesome time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We would definitely stay there again.

I live in Mobile, only 44 minutes away from Dauphin Island, so it’s usually my go-to for day trips to the beach. This was my first time actually staying on the island as a tourist, and I loved every moment of it. Cast Away is as beautiful as the photos suggest. It’s such a comfortable place, and the gorgeous beach is just a short walk away. We cooked every meal in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen. We only had one issue, which was with the garbage disposal, but Dauphin Island Beach Rentals quickly replaced it. It would be nice to have a fish-cleaning station downstairs, but other than that I can’t think of anything else that was missing. I highly recommend Chaise and Ray’s, a local business that will set up chaise lounges and a beach umbrella on the beach and have it ready for you at 9 a.m. I booked it completely online. All of us really enjoyed our stay at this beach house, and I hope to book it again in the future.

This was our second time visiting Dauphin Island and we loved Cast Away! DIBR is very responsive and kind. The WiFi went out and they had someone within an hour to fix it. Everything was great! Cast Away is beautifully decorated and have everything you need. Will stay at Cast Away again, if we go back to Dauphin.

When we arrived it was easy to access entering the place. It was beautiful and clean when we entered and very spacious. The master was amazing with great shower pressure. The other bedrooms were decent size and cozy. The area was quiet and we felt safe while staying there. The beach was a short walk and very private. The kids would have liked it a little more if it was busier, however, I felt it was relaxing. +
I would definitely recommend going to the store before you get there. The one we went to was very over priced and limited choices. They had quite a few gift shops and boutiques on the island. It is beautiful and very quiet. The aquarium was decent and we took the ferry to Orange Beach for the day.
Our overall stay was wonderful. As far as the place we stayed, it was wonderful. A few more kitchen items were needed, measuring spoons comes to mind, But, who really bakes on vacay(we do, lol) I would recommend taking the beach items you need as well( I was informed of this)

We loved staying at this welcoming cozy home. The master bed was so comfortable and every room decorated so pretty. Loved that the beach was so close just a few minutes from the home. The beach not crowded.
Not too much stores or restaurants around the Island, had to drive 40 minutes. However that wasn’t much of a problem, we cooked meals in the wonderful spacious kitchen. Thanks again!

The place was absolutely wonderful! It was great to have an outdoor grill and the rooms were a good size for all guests. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Dauphin Island. We unfortunately had bad weather so could not utilize the beach but happy we had a great place to stay if we had to be indoors.

Beautiful house with a view of the gulf from the deck. This house is in a great location on the island as it’s right across the street from a beautiful and clean beach and only a 3-5 minute drive from the “downtown” area. This property provides beach towels and 2 medium sized beach umbrellas, but not beach chairs, so just be sure to bring your own. Overall a great stay, would absolutely stay again.

The house looked just like the pictures. It was beautiful. We came down to attend my mom’s funeral. There were 7 adults and plenty of room to be together or have your own space if that was needed. The common room furniture was fantastic, you could sink in to watch a movie, read a book, or take a nap. But the very best we’re the bed, bedding and pillows, most rental home go cheap on these things, but every bed was great. It was a tough week for me and my family, but having such a beautiful home base helped a great deal.
