Description
This gorgeous gulf front beach house will give you the personal beach vacation that you are daydreaming about! The has ample room and an open floor plan that is perfect for shared memories. You get an unobstructed view of the gulf, and the large rear deck will have you looking at the stars with the waves crashing below you. This modern home is beautifully decorated and includes everything you need for a beach vacation you will fondly remember. The house has 3 king-sized beds, two of which in rooms that open right up to the gulf deck. The kitchen is well equipped and gives you what you need for your family vacation.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly, dogs only, 2-Pet Maximum Limit – $100 pet fee per pet plus tax applies.
10. Cargo lifts are not available to guests and can not be used. They are not permitted by Home Owner Insurance Policies.

The property has a driveway that accommodates 2 cars. Free overflow parking at Green Park next to Ship N Shore.

While the location can’t be beat, the house definitely needs a refresh. When we arrived the house wasn’t very clean. There was a waterlogged granola bar and paper towels on the deck, the grill was unusable (I ended up cleaning it myself and seasoning the grates after burning off stuck on fish and removing fishing lures from the side table). Also, the countertops were not very clean either in the kitchen. Instead of waiting for the cleaning crew to come, we cleaned it ourselves, because we were tired after a long drive. The pots and pans are teflon and extremely scratched. The cabinets are very worn and some pieces of wood breaking off. The door to the laundry area wouldn’t close because the machine had moved too far out. The decking and stairs have extreme wear as well. Finally, the house was struck by lightning on our last night. We left early because we weren’t sure when the ac would be fixed. The mgt company had been very communicative but never checked on us even after I left a msg

First time to the island, Listing was exactly as described. .The view from the deck accompanied by the sounds of the waves crashing were amazing. The best part is being able to walk down to the beach, right from the back deck, I would highly recommend anybody who hasn’t been to this island to visit. This is a hidden oasis on the Alabama shore!

The host were responsive and made the booking fairly easy. Had to setup a account on a 3rd party to sign the rental agreement which I found to be a pain. The property was GORGEOUS and location was perfect. My biggest complaint was the bathroom had mildew/mold in it as did the washer. Also, the bedding didnt appear to have been cleaned as there was make up on it. I messaged the host and they said they’d let the house keeping supervisor know. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware. Love Love Love the location!

Our family stayed at this beach house in May. Overall this was a wonderful stay, the few issues that we had were communicated and rectified timely. We even saw some dauphins and lots of bird watching to keep you entertained.
The decks were very nice and can fish off the first deck. Highly recommend this property and would stay again.

We were very impressed with this place! it had the perfect amount of room for 6 of us. The decor was perfect and the beds were pretty comfortable. We loved the fact that it was literally right on the water, we were able to fish right off the porch in the mornings. The island was nice and quiet with plenty of things to do and see. This house is also close enough of a drive or walk to the public beach, where you can see some beautiful sand and sunsets. I highly recommend this place if you are wanting a nice beach get away, we will be staying here again in the future.

We stayed at this house in June with our 3 little boys. It was absolutely amazing and decked out to the T! The attention to detail is top notch and has everything you might need. Dauphin Island is beautiful and is an outstanding destination for a family beach vacation. This house is perfect to make memories in and highly recommended!

Where is the parking for Awake on the Gulf?

Awake on the Gulf has a driveway that will accommodate two cars. After storms, gulf front driveways will sometimes get sanded over. If that happens, you would park on the court street until the driveway can be scraped.
