- Join the Dauphin Island Sea Lab for Discovery Day on April 6, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Explore real scientific laboratories, get hands-on science lessons and enjoy discounted Alabama Aquarium admission (50% off for Adults and free admission for anyone under 18)
- April 6–10 – Bird Banding
- The Banding Coalition of the Americas (BCA) and Dauphin Island Bird Sanctuaries (DIBS) is co-hosting a banding demonstration on Dauphin Island April 6-10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The demonstration is open for anyone interested to join. This is a unique opportunity to observe and learn about migratory birds that stopover on the island and see a variety of them live and up close. The banding sessions will be held at the Goat Tree Reserve (corner of Cadillac Avenue and Grant Street). Parking is available at Cadillac Square (661 Bienville Blvd). Participants are asked to park and walk to the banding site. There will be signs to designate where the event will be occurring and admission is free.

- 27th Annual Vintage Motorcycle Show will be held at Green Park on Sunday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free Admissions.
- April 13 – 2024 Spring Field Trips and Birding Information Tent
- The Dauphin Island Bird Sanctuary invites you to join them on Saturday, April 13 at 9 a.m. or 4 p.m. for a “Saturday Bird Walk” through the Shell Mounds and Sto’s Woods looking for migrating birds. Bring your binoculars, bug spray, and water. Children are welcomed but must be accompanied by an adult.

- Observe the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Mobile Bay at historic Fort Gaines on April 20 and 21. Admission: Ages 13+ – $10, Ages 5-12 – $5, Children 4 and under – Free

- April 27 – St. Francis Arts & Crafts Festival
- More than 50 local and regional artists and craftsmen will be selling their unique and creative wares at the annual Arts & Crafts Festival at St. Francis Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- Mothers, Daughters and Aunts, it’s time to put on your fancy hats and enjoy a tea party with a splash of paint. This new event is fun for all ages and will be held on May 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dauphin Island Community Center. Please reserve your spot by emailing Maggie Godwin at [email protected]. Artists from Arts of Dauphin Island and Dauphin Island Art Gallery will lead you in painting a beautiful picture on canvas while you sip tea (other beverages will also be available) end enjoy fresh baked treats with your family/gal pals.

Donations can be made to the Dauphin Island Foundation Police Department fund and are tax deductible. In addition, the town council will be hosting a special appreciation luncheon for all town employees on Thursday, May 16.
